As part of AGL’s Retail Transformation program, the Product Owner – Electrification will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our retail business. This role will focus on delivering innovative business capabilities that enable home electrification products, helping customers transition to cleaner, smarter energy solutions. Working within a world-class transformation program, you’ll drive simplification, digitisation, and effortless customer experiences while contributing directly to AGL’s mission of supporting Australians to decarbonise how they live and move.
What you’ll be doing:
Shape Future Capabilities – Define and document the customer experience, business processes, and requirements for supplying, installing, managing and supporting electrification assets in households.
Drive Product Delivery – Translate requirements into features, epics, and user stories, maintain a prioritised backlog, and guide development teams through agile ceremonies.
Collaborate Across Transformation – Partner with journey owners, product managers, and other transformation teams (data migration, compliance, business readiness) to ensure electrification is seamlessly embedded into broader plans.
Engage Stakeholders – Build awareness, support, and readiness across business units for new technology solutions and ways of working.
Contribute to Communities – Mentor and share knowledge within product management and electrification networks to strengthen capability and expertise.
About you:
Demonstrated knowledge of electrification products and business operations for sales and fulfilment. This may include experience across sales, installation, asset management and/or billing of household electrification assess such as rooftop solar, batteries and EV chargers.
Previous demonstrated experience in dynamic/program environments and ability to work effectively with delivery partners.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools, ensuring effective backlog management and sprint planning.
