Role Overview:
Provides a safe and effective therapeutic environment for children in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Positive Leaps. Responsible for directing and organizing classroom resources to achieve excellent clinical outcomes. When assigned to a classroom the BSW/LSW is the rendering provider of TBS Group Day Treatment Psychoeducational sessions and is responsible for clinical documentation of these sessions.
Schedule:
Variable hours within the 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Compensation:
- $20 per completed note
Our private practice offers autonomy and independence while maintaining a sense of community, and our Mindfully Academy provides training opportunities in different modalities and specializations, such as DBT, EMDR, Child/Adolescent, SUD, Couples/IFS/Emotion Focused/Gottman and much more.
Essential Duties:
- Renders group therapeutic services for 2.5 hour blocks
- Provides a safe, structured learning environment
- Interacts with consumers and other staff members in a professional, positive manner
- Exhibits flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing therapeutic environment
- Implements aspects of Positive Leaps model of care and curriculum
- Implements treatment goals and objectives
- Prepares, updates, and maintains documentation and clinical data in accordance with Ohio Laws, 3rd party payers and Positive Leaps’ policies and procedures
- Communicates treatment progress and other relevant information to treatment team
- Consistently meets performance measures including competency indicators.
- Demonstrates effective classroom organization skills
- Shows strong leadership skills
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work with License
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Must be able to work with all ages of children (ages 3-8).
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a very active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a vigorous background check.
Exposures and Risks:
- Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Works directly with physically aggressive children.
- Exposed to loud noise, such as repeated and prolonged screaming and crying.
