You as an Electrical Estimator will:

Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process under pressure while building strong relationships with sub-trades and manufacturing representatives.
Assemble accurate, timely, and well organized estimates from Order of Magnitude to tender documents, including hard-bid, construction management, and design-build in a methodical and systematic manner.
Completes full quantity take-off of all labor, equipment, and materials for medium to- large scopes electrical scope of work at various design stages, including conceptual, schematic, and throughout design development and construction documents on various sized projects.
Organize, review, and level sub-contractor and/or manufacturer quotes.
Review of sub-trade changes. Validate quantities, labour, productivities, scope, etc.
Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future reference.
Review drawings and tender documents to understand scope of work and submission requirements.
Recognizes and identify risks related to project-specific requirements, site, schedule, and market conditions or constraints.
Coordinate scopes with Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, and Structural divisions/team members.
Assist in closing bids, research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and references for future estimates,
Participate in developing project Update and bid package estimate documents,
Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures,
Assist in the monitoring of conceptual estimates with actual cost data

Is this the right role for you?

Intermediate/Senior experience(i.e. five to seven years+) working in Commercial Construction estimating experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to create and maintain strong relationships, strong communication skills, and attention to detail; as well as the ability to work effectively and accurately in time sensitive situations within a team. Coordination with all members of the design and estimating team.
Ability to calculate mathematical extensions, read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, cost coding systems, etc. is essential.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and contract documents (i.e.design briefs).
Capable of allocating scope and costs for conceptual and design development projects.
You have a construction related degree/diploma, designations (i.e. PQS, GSC, etc.)
