The Role:
As the Electrical Engineering Lead, you’ll manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and controls specialists while applying your own technical expertise to develop robust electrical systems and products. You’ll guide project execution, ensure engineering quality, and lead continuous improvement efforts—all while fostering a strong, collaborative team culture.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the Electrical Engineering and Controls team by setting priorities, managing workload, and developing talent.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, project management, and customer service.
- Oversee the design and development of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with standards and requirements.
- Review and approve schematics, wiring diagrams, proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Represent your team’s needs and ideas to senior leadership.
- Drive innovation, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support engineers and technicians with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience
- Strong understanding of electrical system design, industrial controls, and automation
- Comfortable leading both people and technical design efforts
- Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communicator with strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Strategic thinker with a passion for mentorship and team development
Even better if you have:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor.
- Familiarity with UL, IEC, or similar electrical safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems or PLCs.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
- Customer-facing engineering experience.
- Experience with lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Compensation:
The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $128,088.55 to $173,296.28 though a candidate’s base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
