Summary
As Global Client Operations (GCO) Technical Coordinator, you will be part of the Global Client Operations Team, supporting the GCO and Netflix Technical Lead making sure GCO’s operational needs are covered across our technology ecosystem and on any technical initiatives for GCO accounts and the wider business as required. As a GCO Technical Coordinator you will also work with the Technology department, Business Analyst and other VSI teams on scoping and implementing the necessary technology needed to make our processes more efficient and provide imaginative technical solutions to support the business needs.
The role would demand great organizational skills, an aptitude for technical related tasks and to be able to work on multiple initiatives while effectively switching focus between them. This is a very fast-paced role that requires someone to be proactive and effectively communicate information to all relevant stakeholders. Finally, the role might mean having to work with tight deadlines, so being able to work under pressure without losing focus is crucial.
At VSI we operate a hybrid working model, so you will be expected to work from our offices three days a week (these can be agreed with your line manager and can change from week to week), and two days remotely. We believe that this model provides flexibility for the employees whilst retaining a good team spirit and allowing people to gain very valuable in- person experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support on tooling/technology related initiatives for all GCO clients.
- Understand the GCO departmental and client specific workflow needs. Identifying improvement opportunities for projects, accounts and processes
- Department super/admin user for the Project Management system, OOONA
- Department super/admin user for the Media Asset Management system.
- Act as first line of support to collate and answer tooling related queries from the GCO team, liaising with 3rd party or relevant internal stakeholders to quickly resolve the issues
- Testing PoC for new internal tooling, internal tooling updates and external client tools/systems
- Collaboration with internal technical departments IT, MAM, OOONA, Development to provide feedback and scoping department and client’s needs for efficient operation within internal tooling
- Organise and provide training sessions/refreshers to the team on internal and external tooling updates/changes
- Creation and input into internal tooling documentation, updates and workflow changes
- Constantly analyse tools to find improvements and new ways to speed processes
- Provide specific data and technical/tooling reports to GCO Technical Lead and/or HoD to help make informed operational decisions
- Participate in client and internal meetings as Tooling expert
- Keep up to date about new industry trends and innovations and provide advice to the business
- Be a champion for new technology, helping the rest of the team navigate the challenges and appreciate the advantages
Essential Skills and Experience
- Technical knowledge of Localisation related technology: Project Management systems, Asset management, Subtitling and Dubbing production tools, amongst others
- Previous experience or knowledge of OOONA Project management or other similar tools will be an advantage
- Previous experience or knowledge of Media Asset Management systems an advantage
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Understanding of Project Management processes and methodology.
- Being an excellent team player, particularly when working closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate multi-media needs across production services, ensuring consistency
- Effective verbal and written communication when liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, often under pressure, in a calm manner and willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done
- High motivation and solution focused with proven problem-solving and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively in order to meet given business priorities
- Flexibility and adaptability to be able to apply last minute changes and find solutions
