Junior Engineer, Proposals [Water Technology Division]

Job Description

1. Review RFQs, RFPs, tender documents and specifications from clients and government agencies and analyze project requirements and scope of work in coordination with the design and execution teams.
2. Develop complete process design for any type of water and wastewater treatment system with any type of water source.
3. Develop comprehensive technical proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects (RO, UF, MBR, STP, WTP, ETP, etc.).
4. Prepare BOQs, equipment selections, and system design outlines based on client requirements.
5. Ensure compliance with tender specifications and local regulations.
6. Perform accurate quantity take-offs, material, equipment and labor cost estimation.
7. Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
8. Prepare complete cost sheets and pricing for final bid approval.
9. Compile technical and commercial bid documentation as per tender requirements.
10. Ensure timely submission of complete bid packages including compliance statements, forms, schedules, etc.
11. Support in clarifications, technical presentations and contract negotiations when required.
12. Track bid status and update management on progress.
13. Maintain a database of standard proposal templates, pricing history and vendor contacts.
14. Knowledge of detailed engineering will be an added advantage. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in preparing proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects.

Additional Information

 Experience Requirements:

• Experience level: 03+ years experience in preparing proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Familiarity with technologies such as SWRO, UF, MBBR, MBR, DAF, clarifiers, etc.
• Good knowledge of project estimation, pricing and tendering process.
• Has a working knowledge of industry standards and regulations
• HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams

   Skills & Professional Requirements:

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Excellent communication, organizing and time management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of local tendering practices in UAE / GCC is a strong advantage.
• Documentation and data base management.
• Fluent in English
