About the Position
The Project Manager 1 Position is Accountable for assigned project related tasks as directed by Project Manager. Tasks are performed within an established time frame to support and ensure projects are done within project budgets, projected man-hours, Company guidelines, while in conformance with quality work standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Internally: Interacts with other support staff (e.g. Project Coordinator, Estimating, Accounting and Finance, and other corporate services staff).
- Externally: May interact with owners, owner representatives, architects, engineers, trade contractors, vendors, and others who are associated with project related activities. This incumbent may schedule, participates in project meetings. May also interact with various committees and participates in special trade-related activities and events.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Draft project plan for review with Project Manager.
- Solicit, review, and scope subcontractor and vendor bids, quotations, and related contract specification sections.
- Administer subcontracts for area of responsibility
- Review and understand contract documents (plans and specifications).
- Assist with project start up, including obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization.
- Assist in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedule.
- Manage complete material procurement process, including the following: write purchase orders, obtain submittals; review submittals for compliance with contract documents; upon approval, manage submittal and procurement with
- subcontractors/vendors; track submittals with procurement schedule; ensure submittal log remains up to date.
- Monitor and manage site safety compliance with jobsite specific safety plan. Conduct safety surveys/observations.
- Meet with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ’s) for inspections and compliance requirements.
- Learn & Utilize software pertaining to project (Viewpoint, Vista, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Products, Procore, etc.).
- Enter and update information in project management software (job status reports, purchase orders, change orders, and RFI’s, schedule changes).
- Mange project specific requirements, compliance, and documentation when applicable.
- Write meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
- Resolve daily problems and expedite materials in conjunction with field supervision.
- Support the project manager and project team with budgeting/actual committed report/labor report.
- Manage punch list and work with subcontractors to execute the punch list in accordance with project schedule.

- This position largely consists of sedentary work which involves sitting most of the time. Occasionally position will require exerting up to 10 pounds of force and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- The position requires one to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- This position is subject to both outside and inside environmental conditions. Employee may be subject to harsh weather conditions while on job sites.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field experience
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience within the Construction Industry (we will consider less experienced candidates provided they can demonstrate their willingness to learn, flexibility, pleasant demeanor, and superior intelligence and have relevant experience in other jobs)
- Familiarity with electrical materials and construction methods, including requirements for different construction types is a plus
