About the Role

As a Senior Marketing Analyst, you will be a key analytical leader responsible for the integrity, performance, and strategic use of our marketing data. This role owns the full data lifecycle: from managing and optimizing the data infrastructure to conducting deep-dive analyses that uncover strategic insights. You will be responsible for developing scalable dashboards and analytical tools that empower the entire marketing team to make smarter, data-driven decisions. In this role, you will act as the crucial link between the marketing team's business questions and the complex data needed to answer them, translating your findings into clear and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Infrastructure & Governance
    • Own and optimize the data pipelines that power our marketing analytics, ensuring the timely delivery, accuracy, and integrity of large-scale datasets.
    • Proactively diagnose and resolve complex data issues by debugging SQL scripts, auditing data sources, and collaborating with Data Engineering to enhance pipeline performance and reliability.
    • Lead data governance initiatives by establishing and enforcing best practices for data quality, consistency, and documentation across all marketing data platforms.
    • Develop and automate scripts for data validation, transformation, and migration to improve operational efficiency and ensure seamless data integration.
  • Advanced Analytics & Strategic Insights
    • Conduct complex, deep-dive analyses to measure the impact of marketing campaigns, identify performance trends, and provide actionable recommendations for growth and optimization.
    • Utilize advanced SQL and scripting to query, transform, and synthesize massive datasets from disparate sources, developing new methodologies and metrics to address evolving business questions.
    • Develop comprehensive reports and presentations that translate complex analytical findings into compelling narratives and clear, actionable insights for key stakeholders.
  • Decision Support & Analytics Tools
    • Lead the end-to-end development of marketing analytics tools, from designing and building to maintaining scalable and intuitive dashboards.
    • Partner with marketing stakeholders to gather requirements, translating their business needs into technical specifications and user-friendly dashboard features like new dimensions and filters.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on marketing data, empowering the wider team to make data-informed decisions through effective tools and clear communication.

About You

The essentials:

  • 3+ years of experience in a highly analytical and technical role, such as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, or a hybrid Marketing Analyst/Software Engineer, preferably within a marketing or product analytics team.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining data-driven solutions and platforms

Core Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and analysis of large datasets.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python or R) for data extraction, transformation, automation, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Google's internal dashboard systems, Google Sheets), with proficiency in Google Apps Script for automation and tool customization.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience working with large-scale data infrastructures.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical details and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
