The Senior Manager, Procurement, is a key member of the Indirect Procurement, Business Services, and Facilities Leadership Team, reporting directly to the SVP. This role combines senior leadership responsibilities with hands-on operational execution. The Senior Manager drives strategic planning, leads high-impact initiatives, and ensures operational excellence across procurement, business services and corporate facilities. In addition to developing forward-looking strategies, this individual is expected to actively execute, monitor, and deliver results through direct involvement in projects, policy implementation, and process improvements. The Senior Manager partners closely with the SVP and leadership team, engages in detailed operational analysis, builds and sustains strong stakeholder relationships, and communicates effectively across all levels of the organization. This position requires both strategic vision and practical execution to achieve measurable business outcomes and enable the success of departmental objectives.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute procurement, business services, and facilities strategies in collaboration with the SVP and leadership team to drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and business value.

  • Oversee and manage complex, cross-functional projects in procurement, travel, relocation, and corporate facilities as well as other areas as directed by SVP, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business objectives.

  • Lead strategic planning and policy implementation by establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving procurement policies, procedures, and governance standards to ensure compliance and consistency across the organization. Resolve critical operational and strategic issues by identifying root causes, developing solutions, presenting to key stakeholders to gain alignment and implementing corrective actions to maintain uninterrupted business operations. Liaison to Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, Business Continuity, Climate Action Sustainability Committee and other related functions.

  • Conduct in-depth operational, process, procedure and spend analysis to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, process improvements, and cost optimization across all areas under SVP.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment to procurement strategies, resolve issues, and foster collaborative partnerships that support organizational goals.

  • Prepare executive-level communications and presentations for the SVP, synthesizing inputs from multiple teams to enable informed decision-making at senior leadership levels.  Lead, organize and/or support departmental meetings, leadership meetings (eg. Monthly Dashboard) and reporting.

Position Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Finance, Business (preferred), or related field and/or equivalent work experience.

Acceptable Job-Related Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain or finance functions, including working with cross-functional teams and large-scale initiatives.

  • Proven track record as a self-starter who is highly responsive, self-accountable, and consistently takes ownership to deliver measurable results.

  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust across all levels of an organization by establishing strong relationships, actively listening, and delivering upon commitments.

  • Strong commitment to seeing initiatives through to completion, with a focus on quality, timeliness, and business impact.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable strategies.

  • Experience leading complex projects from concept to execution, including budget management, resource allocation, and performance measurement.

  • Business process management and policy development experience, including designing, improving, and implementing processes to strengthen compliance and efficiency

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to gather and analyze data, synthesize and provide timely reporting.

  • High level of adaptability and resilience, able to manage shifting priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  Acts in a deliberate, focused and with a goal-oriented mindset.

  • Proficiency with procurement systems, analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with relevant AI knowledge preferred.
