The Senior Total Rewards Specialist will play a key role in designing, administering, and maintaining our benefits, compensation and recognition programs to attract, retain, and engage top talent. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position will ensure our total rewards offerings are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s culture and strategic goals. The role will also support HR through audits and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights.
Location: The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity between our Home Office in Enumclaw, WA, and remotely. Candidate must live within driving distance of our Home Office and have high-speed internet (internet speed test required).
Hiring Range: $95,700 - $106,800
Salary Range: $95,700 - $118,900

Responsibilities
Benefits (Strategy & Administration)
- Partner with HR leadership to develop and refine benefits strategy to support employee well-being, retention, and engagement.
- Evaluate current benefits programs using market benchmarking, utilization trends, and employee feedback to identify enhancements.
- Research and recommend new benefit offerings, cost-containment opportunities, and wellness initiatives aligned with workforce needs.
- Manage benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
- Serve as primary contact for benefits inquiries, resolving issues with employees and vendors promptly and professionally.
- Lead annual open enrollment planning, communications, and process execution.
- Develop metrics to measure benefit program effectiveness and ROI.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Partner with Finance to forecast and monitor the total rewards budget.
Compensation
- Assist with the administration of salary structures, merit increases, incentive programs, and job classification systems.
- Conduct compensation benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive pay practices.
- Partner with HR and managers to develop job descriptions and evaluate new/existing roles for appropriate leveling and pay alignment.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to integrate compensation strategy with performance management processes and incentive design to drive desired organizational outcomes.
Recognition & Engagement
- Manage recognition and rewards programs to reinforce company culture and values.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to recommend enhancements based on employee feedback and engagement survey data.
- Design and deliver employee communications, tools, and training to increase understanding and perceived value of total rewards programs.
Audits & Reporting
- Conduct regular audits of HR data in HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and distribute recurring and ad-hoc HR reports, including compensation analysis, benefits utilization, turnover metrics, and workforce demographics.
- Partner with HR leadership to analyze data and develop recommendations for process improvements.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Leverage HR technology and analytics to streamline reporting, identify trends, and support data-driven decision making.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits regulations (FLSA, ACA, ERISA, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records for regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
- Monitor industry trends and legislative changes impacting compensation, benefits, and HR reporting.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience with HR data audits, compliance checks, and reporting tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain complex topics clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting dashboards, and HR systems for data analysis and reporting.
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of experience in compensation, benefits, HR reporting, or total rewards roles.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and benefits administration platforms preferred.
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or similar certification is a plus.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and cross-functional projects strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, including video conferencing.
