We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our Asbury Park and Red Bank CHC team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical and ancillary care provided within the designated health centers. Provides effective initial and ongoing orientation and training to all non-provider, clinical employees. Partners with each site’s Office Manager to ensure that safe, high quality patient care is delivered following all established policies, procedures, and workflows. Demonstrates a collaborative leadership style, with a focus on a team approach to providing highly reliable, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with colleagues up, down, and across the organization
- Supervises CMAs, RNs, LPNs, Vaccine Coordinator, and other staff as assigned in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership policies and procedures
- Intervenes directly as it relates to care coordination and management needs; utilizes clinical reasoning to assist clinical team with meeting patient care needs and providing positive outcomes
- Provides direct patient care and/or assists with direct patient care as needed, up to and within scope of RN licensure
- Assists team in identifying patient care improvement opportunities and actively participates in the CHC’s Quality Improvement program and initiatives
- Evaluates the clinical competency of non-provider, clinical staff as assigned, for the purpose of 90-day and annual performance evaluation; documents results; provides skills training and remediation as identified
- Facilitates regular, efficient, and meaningful team meetings, huddles, and other touchpoints
- Oversights maintenance of required logs and records in order to maintain regulatory compliance
- Assists in coordination, management and monitoring of clinical supplies
- Oversees the environment of care, ensuring adherence to CHC infection control and safety policies and procedures, including those for emergency response; monitors employee performance in the same
- Participates in the CHC’s CMA externship program, with a focus on recruitment and retention of qualified and committed CMA staff
- Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- RN; BSN required
- 3+ years of clinical nursing experience
- 1+ year of ambulatory care experience, FQHC preferred
- 1+ year of supervisory/ managerial experience
- Current BLS certification
- Car and valid NJ driver’s license
Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors. Exposure to blood, body fluids and communicable diseases. Sitting, fine motor hand movement, standing, walking, lifting 40 pounds, pushing, reaching, pulling; working with thermometer, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, otoscope, opthalmoscope, needles, syringes, EKG machine, venipuncture equipment, other diagnostic equipment, spirometry treatment, culture mediums, telephone, fax, photocopier, computer, printer.
In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $72, 885.38 to USD $179,750. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
