About the Role:
We are seeking a Sales Support Officer to join our team, reporting to the Country Sales & Marketing Manager. In this role, you will efficiently manage Sales Support activities for ANL & CMA CGM.
The role and responsibilities will include:
- To handle external/internal pricing inquiries for all trades including over dimensional, out of gauge, and hazardous cargoes.
- Preparation and submission of freight quotations.
- Support the outside/inside sales team to achieve the targeted market coverage and actively perform customer follow up.
- Support customers in the use of digital platform – Spot On
- Promote CMA CGM Group Services and non-Maritime products - E-commerce, VAS etc.
- Preparation, compiling, filing and maintenance of valid SQ references
- Maintenance & update of statistical data base(s)
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, International Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in internal sales is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience in a customer service/sales support role within the shipping or related industry is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong proficiency in computer skills including Word, XL, PPT
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Analytical ability
- Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized.
- Logical and analytical thinker.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with ability to plan and co-ordinate workflows and performance effectively and without supervision.
- Ability to meet deadlines
To be eligible for this role, you must be a PNG citizen or a permanent resident.
Please note that remote working from overseas and interstate locations will not be considered.
