What You’ll Do
As an Operations Analyst, you will work closely with our Operations Director in the Netherlands and collaborate with colleagues across our European offices to drive operational excellence in a regulated payments environment.
You will analyse customer and operational data to identify improvements, support and implement projects aligned with our strategic objectives, and develop best practices that enhance efficiency, compliance, and scalability. In addition, you will play a key role in ensuring we meet our safeguarding obligations for client funds and work cross-functionally to deliver solutions that support our European operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the execution, design, documentation, and improvement of operational processes and procedures to drive operational excellence and scalability.
- Analyse customer and operational data to produce clear, actionable reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Excel.
- Support the delivery of strategic projects across the European business, from planning through to implementation.
- Collaborate with compliance, product, and operational teams to maintain governance frameworks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Support safeguarding operations for client funds, including reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining safeguarding documentation.
- Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Report directly to the Operations Director in the Netherlands while working closely with colleagues across our European offices.
Who You Are
What you’ll need
- At least 3 years’ experience in the payments industry or a regulated financial services environment.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and technical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven experience in designing and improving operational processes and workflows.
- Experience developing and maintaining performance dashboards, and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams to resolve queries and drive improvements.
- A proactive, curious, and creative mindset, with the self-motivation to identify and deliver enhancements to efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
- A curious mindset and drive to explore how AI can make a real difference.
Nice to haves
- Experience or training in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of coding for data extraction, analysis, and process automation.
- Familiarity with safeguarding principles for EMIs, including segregation of client funds, timely safeguarding, and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of payment flows and knowledge of different payment schemes (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT, Faster Payments).
- Experience working in a fast-growing FinTech or start-up environment.
