Job Description

Team Overview:

The Japan Client Relationship Management (CRM) team is accountable for managing client relationships with payment ecosystem stakeholders such as banks, financial institutions, platformers, eCommerce companies wallet providers and Fintech.

The CRM team also works in collaboration with Product, Finance, Legal, Client Services teams and other business function at Visa to drive client relationships.

 

What does a Senior Manager, Account Executive do at Visa

The Senior Manager, Account Executive will manage and enhance existing relationships with one of the major banks and regional banks companies in Japan, while identifying and capitalizing on key business opportunities for core products and Value Added Services (VAS). The candidate must be client-focused, prioritizing an understanding of client objectives and business challenges, fostering strong relationships with both client executives and operational teams, aligning work plans with Visa’s core priorities, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to leverage Visa’s capabilities for client’s business growth.

  • Excellent execution of key strategic priorities.
  • Distill the right vision and strategy for client relationships in collaboration with cross functional Visa team members.
  • Working with client executives to ensure their priorities and operational capabilities are clearly understood and our work plans are clearly aligned with them.
  • Act as the orchestrator of how our clients consistently experience the best of Visa’s global expertise.
  • Achieving optimal balance of client and Visa’s interests
  • Take clear ownership and accountability of the risks of the business and ensure that as a team, we effectively manage risk through consistent application of all of Visa relevant Key Controls.

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

 

    Qualifications

    What do you need:

    • Fluent in both spoken and written Japanese and English.
    • Strong academic credentials. An MBA or similar degree from a top tier institution is preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience from a top company, high growth firm, leading consulting firm or investment bank, experience in sales, business development, and account management
    • Demonstrated success in account planning, execution, and project delivery.
    • Possesses excellent presentation, communication, and networking skills.
    • Capable of developing strong connections at all levels with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Self starter with a proven ability to take initiative and adapt in a rapidly changing, often ambiguous market environment.
    • Exhibits commercial acumen by applying analysis to evaluate business opportunities, ensuring budget, profitability, and earnings targets are based on sound assumptions and effective business models.
    • Demonstrates a disciplined and organized approach to consistently and systematically address both immediate and long term priorities.
    • Demonstrates eagerness and curiosity to learn, sell, and build a robust network both within and outside the firm.
    • Maintains high levels of professional humility, actively seeking and constructively using feedback.

    • Demonstrated ability to design, negotiate, and manage the execution of complex business agreements and sales efforts.
    • Demonstrated success in stakeholder management within large, complex organizations.
    • Leads cross functional teams with a collaborative, results driven leadership style that is inclusive and capable of decisive action.
    • Approaches risk management with discipline, identifying and analyzing risks in decision making processes.
    • Strong understanding of the Japanese banking landscape.
    • Knowledge and experience in payments, eCommerce, and mobile technologies are advantageous.
