General Description

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Card Division's financial institution partners; driving application volume for each assigned agent using financial analytics, research, and needs assessment to drive maximum agent production. Create agent marketing goals and devise solutions to increase productivity. New agent bank will be assigned to the Account Manager by the Account Manager Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Understand and explain the value of the credit card program to our established agents while also building a long-term, trusting relationship. These agents include Community Banks, Credit Unions, and Co-branded businesses.
  2. Act as the main point of contact for all assigned agents acting in a professional manner. While the primary responsibility is to assist in increase engagement; other duties include marketing, assisting with customer service situations, resolving technological issues, and directing training opportunities to increase knowledge of agent banks. Goal being enhanced engagement resulting in increased customer and agent satisfaction and as a result, increased revenue.
  3. Using research, analytics, and effective reporting, devise spend campaigns to increase spend for existing agent cardholder accounts. Implement spend campaigns and measure results.
  4. Coordinate the On-Boarding Process for new agent banks with internal Card Assets departments.
  5. Engage agents in targeted marketing solutions and ensure that agent has adequate resources to effectively promote the branded card.
  6. Monitor and document the financial health of all assigned agents on a quarterly basis; providing appropriate feedback to management.
  7. Research and identify new solutions, offerings, and enhancements that can benefit agent banks and communicate these to management.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to effectively build a comprehensive understanding of card solutions.
  9. Act as a liaison and advocate for Card Asset management, agent banks, and customers. Able to act as a subject matter expert for Card Assets when communicating with agent banks or customers.
  10. Ability to understand, interpret, and present multiple reports that measure application volume, approval rates interchange, and ancillary services.
  11. Deliver approved presentations online and in-person with agent contacts including executive level decision makers with decorum and professionalism.
  12. Ability to travel upon request to assigned agent banks to facilitate and develop agent bank relationships while expertly delivering approved presentations.
  13. Document all interaction with the agent in a clear/concise manner in CRM platform.
  14. Collaborate with other departments to build and maintain comprehensive understanding of the card division.
  15. Assist all agent banks with sales of card products to their VIP, high net worth, affluent customers, both business and consumer, acting on behalf of the agent and guiding the application and communication processes.
  16. Maintains a strong understanding of policies and procedures and addresses the requirements of each activity in a timely fashion following guidelines and procedures, promptly escalating any issues and/or concerns to management.
  17. Work diligently with our agent banks to develop a strong professional relationship while adding value to the partnership leading to renewal of those relationships.
  18. Actively participate in further education of the current credit card market including training courses, attending different webinars, and following market trends.
  19. Act with professionalism and decorum in all interactions and communications with agents or customers. This includes both online interactions as well as in-person interaction.
  20. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Understands and adheres to all compliance issues, attends training as required and related to this position, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy Act, US Patriot Act, Security, and Credit Card Lending.  Must adhere to special shift hours as agreed or instructed by manager.  Early evening work is occasionally required along with possible weekend assignments.  Flexible schedules are available.  May require occasional travel within the U.S.
