About the job
  
Goods & Services is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, custom applications, while providing technical leadership within the team. This role requires daily hands-on coding, problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality web solutions.

Core Function:

• Responsible for designing, creating, extending, maintaining, and supporting mostly custom applications to meet defined requirements, defining and delegating portions of work to self and sometimes others. This position reports to VP, Software Development.

What you’ll do:

• Hands-on coding to support custom applications to meet defined requirements.
• Perform software design, development, and unit testing as part of the software development team.
• Develop, test, and maintain distributed and scalable web-based applications coded in React, Typescript, Tailwind or Bootstrap, GraphQL (or REST), C# .NET, Angular, MySQL, etc.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks in web applications.
• Work closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality web solutions.
• Provide guidance and direction to other team members as needed.
• Keep up to date with the latest web development trends, technologie,s and best practices.

What you’ll need:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience and strong knowledge in .NET (C#) tech stack, JavaScript, web technologies, and in cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Strong working knowledge of application architecture, design patterns such as Factory and/or MVC, object-oriented principles, and development methodologies/frameworks.
• Actively engaged in hands-on coding daily, following coding best practices.
• Strong knowledge of web frameworks and libraries –React, Angular, and Vue.js. Preferably React.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
• Ability to write and execute tests, as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical team members.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
