About the job

Goods & Services is hiring a QA Lead. We need a driven individual with a solid understanding of quality engineering principles and a passion for continuous learning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing test cases, assisting with test automation, and working closely with the team to maintain our high standards of quality.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, ensuring the team is motivated and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Establish and monitor team goals, performance metrics, and career development plans.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the quality engineering team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to meet product and service quality standards.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes are integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) or production processes.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices for quality engineering, including automation, testing methodologies, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify, plan, and implement automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) strategies.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
  • Manage risk by identifying and mitigating potential issues during the product lifecycle.
  • Implement root cause analysis for defects and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Act as a liaison between the quality engineering team and other departments, including development, product management, and operations.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management regarding quality metrics, risks, and improvements.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including test plans, test cases, quality metrics, and issue tracking.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey quality-related information to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address quality issues and improve processes.
  • Project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor quality initiatives and testing projects.
  • Ability to align quality initiatives with overall business objectives and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing.

 

What you’ll need:

  • +5 years of experience in quality engineering and over 3 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (selenium, Hammer, Jira, Rest Assured, TestNG, Appium).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes, with a focus on integrating quality assurance directly into those pipelines.
  • Ability to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality engineering.
  • Experience using metrics and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and experience by integrating customer feedback into quality processes.
  • Ability to introduce and leverage innovative technologies and methodologies in quality engineering.
