40Position Summary
We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Pro Rater II to support the Siteman Cancer Center tobacco treatment program and clinical trials. This role offers a unique balance of clinical research and quality improvement (QSPI) work, engaging with both urban and rural healthcare settings, including primary care and oncology. In this role, you’ll work directly with the program manager to support the tobacco program, recruit participants, obtain consent, collect data, and assist in training clinical staff on quality improvement.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, screens and schedules subjects for study per protocol.
- Obtains informed consent, conducts interviews, and delivers personalized behavioral interventions.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation across all study databases.
- Performs phlebotomy and other testing in accordance with study guidelines.
- Performs quality control checks on collected data to ensure its accuracy and integrity.
- May participate in training of Professional Rater I.
- Monitors and procures study supplies; submits research participant payments as required.
- Delivers study samples to lab for testing.
- Prepares information packets for patients enrolled in study.
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure smooth execution of the study.
- Engages with key stakeholders for continual support and engagement to improve quality of care.
- Evaluates the current evidence and meeting with experts in field of interest to deliver the most innovative and effective treatments.
- Develops, implements and oversees quality improvement to ensure delivery of the highest quality patient care, optimal and sustainable patient workflow, provider productivity and continuity of care with program manager.
- Trains clinical teams on smoking cessation program.

- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

$19.21 - $28.85 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
