Abbott Diagnostics Digital Health Business is looking for an Informatics Technical Specialist II. This individual will be responsible on the end-to-end delivery of the AlinIQ Digital Health applications.  Along with the technical aptitude, this role is client-facing and individuals also need to have excellent communication, critical thinking, and other soft skills to ensure high client satisfaction.

What You’ll Work On

A senior technical expert focused on the end-to-end delivery of the AlinIQ Digital Health applications and at the center of delivering on Abbott's consumer healthcare strategy.  Core responsibilities of this role include complex IT implementation, testing, training, escalation management, and being a subject matter expert for their peers.  Along with the technical aptitude, this role is client-facing, and individuals need to also possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and other soft skills to ensure high client satisfaction.  This role also serves as a mentor for the other Informatics Technical Specialists or Associate Informatics Technical Specialists in their Area and is expected to be able to provide direct product training, share expertise on compliance or other aspects of the job, and to lead by example across the Area

Major Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end implementation, testing, and training of the Abbott Digital applications with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Apply technical IT and networking knowledge to analyze user needs; gather customer requirements; design an integrated, scalable, and comprehensive digital solution to improve automation and digital solutions for clinical diagnostic healthcare customers. Will require proven ability to identify customer needs, propose solutions, manage and resolve complex customer problems to become a trusted advisor to customers and provide the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Must be able to multitask and coordinate with a complex network of departments throughout all levels of an organization, such as sales representatives, lab managers, project managers, IT personnel, HIS and LIS personnel, internal and external vendors and contractors, and senior-level management as needed.

  • Serve as the digital applications expert for the Area Delivery organization to provide enhanced support as needed to address customer needs. As the application expert, this role will serve as the communication link between the Area Delivery organization and direct customers to the global support organization where necessary. Will require proven mastery of the Abbott processes and the ability to train or mentor other individual contributors within the organization on these processes. Proven mastery of the delivery of the Abbott Digital applications and ability to train or mentor or certify the capability of other individual contributors within the organization.

  • Collaborate and partner with the marketing organizations for new product identification, strategy, and development that will provide solutions beyond the competition to establish Abbott as the elite automation and digital solutions partner. Challenges the status quo and constantly looks for opportunities for self-improvement.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Adheres to and promotes the Abbott Code of Business Conduct

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science, Information Systems, Medical or Hospital Informatics or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in the Healthcare industry experience or 4 years of relevant information technology experience outside of healthcare.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Abbott product knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent customer-facing capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and a concern for quality.
  • Able to innovate and willing to bring ideas forward, positively escalate issues and risks.

The base pay for this position is

$85,300.00 – $170,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
