Enterprise Architect

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Enterprise Architect to join our technology team at the Great Australian Food Company - Bega Group. Reporting to the Head of IT Architecture, this role offers an exciting opportunity to architect scalable solutions that support our mission to deliver safe, trusted, and innovative products across our national manufacturing operations.

This is your chance to make a meaningful impact by designing enterprise architecture that connects our 18 manufacturing sites, supports our beloved brands like Vegemite, Dairy Farmers, and Bega Cheese, and drives digital transformation across one of Australia's largest food and dairy companies.

Responsibilities

Architect Strategic Solutions: Design and deliver enterprise architecture models, roadmaps, and frameworks that translate business strategy into actionable technology solutions aligned with our manufacturing and FMCG operations.
Drive Architecture Excellence: Build and maintain high-quality architecture artefacts, standards, and governance processes that ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with our Enterprise Architecture operating model.
Lead Technical Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices, providing strategic recommendations for cloud platforms, data architecture, and digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure architecture solutions meet business requirements while maintaining security, scalability, and sustainability principles.
Communicate Complex Concepts: Create compelling presentations and documentation that articulate technical architecture to diverse audiences, from executive leadership to technical implementation teams.

About you

Technical Foundation: You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, providing the academic foundation for strategic architecture thinking and innovation.
Architecture Expertise: You have substantial experience in enterprise architecture roles within large, complex environments, with proven ability to lead planning, design, and implementation of technology solutions with confidence and clarity.
Framework Proficiency: You possess a deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF, with demonstrated success using them to drive meaningful business outcomes (TOGAF certification highly regarded).
Industry Knowledge: You bring experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or retail industries, with an understanding of operational technologies, supply chain systems, and regulatory compliance requirements in food manufacturing environments.
Innovation Mindset: You have a passion for emerging technologies, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), AI & data architecture, and digital transformation, with a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends and bringing future-ready thinking to our organisation.
