The Precision Fires and Maneuver (PF&M) product area has an immediate Program Cost Controls Analyst (P3) opportunity to join the Javelin finance team supporting the production contracts. In this role the candidate will have the opportunity to work in a unique environment as part of the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV); specifically supporting the recurring production contract(s) which produce the GEU and next generation launch unit (LWCLU). Job responsibilities will include supporting the Program Management Office (PMO) in managing cost and schedule integration, manpower forecasts, quarterly Estimates at Completion (EAC), as well as working with the business manager to analyze staffing, and cost variances on a weekly/monthly basis. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently and have the ability to multi-task and work on several different program issues concurrently, in a challenging and deadline driven environment, as part of a small core finance team.

The JJV is in a significant growth phase, currently increasing capacity to meet domestic and international demand. In this role you can expect to have frequent interaction and collaboration with various functions (finance, engineering, operations, contracts, supply chain and program office) and multiple levels of leadership which will require you to possess strong presentation and communication skills and have a strong understanding of financial performance management and processes.

Finance serves as a critical business partner by providing the analysis, insight and guidance to enable strategic decision making and achieve bottom-line results. Frequent interaction with various functions and multiple levels of the organization will be needed, so the successful candidate must possess strong presentation, communication, and professional skills.

This position is onsite based on the needs of the business. This role will support a program that resides in Tucson, AZ on the aligned time zone. Relocation assistance is not being offered.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with the CAM / IPT lead in preparation, analysis, review, and approval quarterly EACs

  • Support non-contractual EVMS implementation and maintenance

  • Interface with Supply Chain to ensure program financial and contractual commitments are achieved

  • Preparation and presentation of financial status to Program Management team (weekly, monthly, quarterly, & annually)

  • Provide labor and material variance analysis

  • Responsible for ad hoc requests as determined by the needs of the business

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field & 5 years relevant experience; OR an Advanced degree in a related field and 3 years relevant experience

  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain)

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, advanced formulas), Word and/or PowerPoint

  • Experience with APEX, PRISM, IOTs, Rplan and/or EDIT+

  • Experience with data analytics

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
