Job Description

Hybrid - 2 days of home office

Roles:

  • Responsible for handling various projects, processes, budgets (cost reduction initiatives) and timelines and makes any adjustments to ensure successful completion;

  • Provides direction in the parts certification activities with OCPs and Laboratories to guarantee tests and audits across global vehicle platforms attending due dates;

  • Guarantee regular communication with engineers and suppliers to ensure vehicle parts regulatory compliance accuracy and completion for aftersales;

  • Some initiatives may include Data Analytics, Process Mapping & Improvements, Processes Automations, Systems Development WPM, etc.

  • Work effectively with others inside and outside the organization;

Parts Marking:

  • South America service parts certification and compliance (new programs and existing parts). Suppliers, Product Engineer and Service Engineers follow up to guarantee service parts compliance, certification data maintenance in GM systems, Regulatory analysis and review.

SoC (Substance of Concern):

  • Declare or prevent substances within the service part which could cause harm to people or the environment that are restricted or prohibited by law. Service Parts substances content and labeling review, supplier follow up to acquire required reports and documentation, declaration letters authoring and parts analysis to support global substances elimination projects.

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field preferred (i.e., Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Production, Chemical or Automotive);

  • Intermediate English skills (writing, reading, and speaking);

  • Strong ability in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI);

  • Occasional travel may be required

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills to work independently, investigate and to apply technical judgement and resolve problems;

  • Capability of working variety activities simultaneously;

  • Have technical knowledge of automotive systems and interested in technical literature.

  • Intermediate Spanish skills;

  • Experience working with regulations and compliance systems;

  • Knowledge of Global Aftersales Engineering and Global Product Development systems and processes;

  • Demonstrated ability with releases and maintaining of service parts in GM CCA's ERAPA system;

  • Production Part Release Engineering Knowledge;

  • Aftersales business experience.

  • Ability of planning, teamwork, organizational, priority setting, problem solving, negotiating, innovation & cost management and take decision

  • Good written & verbal communication skills

  • Excellent customer focus with quick turnaround on solutions and resolutions
