Get to Know the Opportunity:

This position is primarily responsible for providing Executive Vice President support through the development of executive presentations and board materials. The Strategic Planning Manager will provide planning support for strategic initiatives and projects to achieve initiative objectives. Supports and functions within the Shared Services to coordinate strategic budget, planning and audit tracking activities.

What You will Contribute:

  • Provide expert planning and development of critical materials and presentations for the needs of the Executive Vice President based on business requirements. Work with the Enterprise Operations teams to collect key information related to service delivery performance, critical initiatives and projects to incorporate into such materials.  Identify planning needs and proactively coordinate activities to support initiatives and events.
  • As the Strategic Planning Manager for Shared Services, provide expert project/program management and planning input to Shared Services initiative requirements according to requirements of strategic initiatives, budget planning/analysis, and management of internal audit requirements. Identify, recommend and institute program processes and tools which ensure effective and efficient quality controls related to tracking, escalating, reporting, and trending of program/initiative activities and deliverables.
  • As the Strategic Planning Manager for Shared Services, you will work with the Operations Division Leadership and their teams, to drive strategic business initiatives related to: strategic projects relating to Simplicity, Connect 2 and other critical projects, internal audit findings and resolution
  • Primarily coordinate, organize, track and manage all activities related to preparation of executive presentations, materials and initiatives
  • Provide management, tracking and communication of multiple projects aiming to achieve a corporate vision. Work with project leads and communicate key activities and results with upper management and stakeholders.
  • Provide tracking and communication of all Operations internal audit findings to resolution
  • Manage the detailed planning, management and reconciling of the Shared Services annual budget and expenses
  • Responsible for governance, which involves working with the over-arching structure, processes and procedures to accomplish objectives, which include metrics of success and deliverables. Alignment entails top-down vision, goals and objectives from business strategy flowing through to successful completion of projects for program objectives. Management involves regular reviews for accountability and successful management of project, stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Cost tracking program component costs with overall program administration costs
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 – 10 years business experience, preferably in insurance or financial services required
  • At least 5+ years experience managing or playing a major role in corporate projects (including systems projects) preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of financial services industry and competitive environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Leadership skills

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$92,690 - $115,860 USD
