Team Overview
As part of the EUC & ITeSS Governance & Execution Team sitting within the Risk Enterprise Data Office group, you will be part of a team that is responsible and accountable for the following: Establish, maintain, and communicate the Enterprise Risk Data and Tech transformation Management data strategy; Create and deliver technology implementation roadmaps, ensuring that both business and regulatory requirements are met; Drive implementation and adoption of consistent data management standards and capabilities to support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across the enterprise and relevant businesses / functions / regions; Establish Data Governance Working Groups and Forums to provide oversight, strategic direction, management and monitoring of the ERM Data Concerns, ERM Transformation Project Progress, Data Breaches, and Prioritizations of Tech Solutioning across the respective ERM Pillars. Provide oversight to Use Case programs to ensure consistency across Risk Pillars and across Risk and Finance RBCMs.
Job Description:
In this role you will serve as a key driver in executing Citi’s Risk Data Transformation and Governance agenda under the broader Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
The successful candidate will act as a cross-functional bridge between Risk, Technology, and Enterprise Data Governance teams to ensure EUC /ITeSS policy and standards are met for inscope items. The role will lead complex, multi-phase projects that support data accuracy, lineage mapping, and risk reduction, with a strong focus on platform enablement and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
Drive the development of requirements and execution of EUC and ITeSS tools overlapping with data plan use case ensuing alignment with CDGP, and other data governing policies.
Partner with use case data owners, business owners and technology ology to drive solutioning of CDEs
Oversee the Risk ITeSS Execution program and partner closely with the EUC/ITeSS governance teams ensuring registration, validation, and migration of EUCs and Technology Solutions.
Facilitate and lead working sessions across Risk, Business, and Technology to resolve data gaps, validate lineage, and track execution milestones.
Develop structured communication materials for Data Councils, Transformation Leads, and Risk & Control forums. Present updates and data remediation plans to senior stakeholders and regulators.
Facilitate the creation of top-down lineage and traceability of Tableau and other visualization/reporting platforms through tools and platform metadata extraction.
Identify data quality vulnerabilities and design de-risking strategies including process controls, reconciliation frameworks, and metadata-driven automation.
Govern stakeholder engagement through proactive communications, weekly Office Hours sessions, and DL/SharePoint site management to drive transparency and alignment.
Support platform optimization initiatives , working with Tech Leads, PBIO, QA, and Product teams to ensure system capability enhancements.
Act as a mentor and thought partner across global teams to embed risk and control awareness, change management, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in Banking, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Services, with a strong emphasis on data governance, transformation, and analytics.
Proven techno-functional skill set, combining business acumen with technical proficiency—experience working with metadata repositories, SQL, Tableau, JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, regulatory reporting processes (especially BCBS 239), and critical data element (CDE) frameworks.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Hands-on experience with data lineage, process documentation, issue tracking, and remediation lifecycle.
Proficient in Agile methodology, project tracking, and data visualization. Exposure to PostgreSQL, OBIEE, Oracle JDE, or equivalent enterprise systems is preferred.
