We are seeking an experienced Senior Treasury Technology Architect to lead the technical design and architecture of Treasury systems. This role will be central in defining roadmaps, standards, and integration strategies for a globally distributed engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth, hands-on architectural experience, and domain knowledge of Treasury operations, particularly in funds out. This role is focused on technical leadership—defining APIs, integrations, and systems design to ensure Treasury platforms are secure, scalable, and future-ready. You will collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to establish architectural blueprints, drive adoption of best practices, and ensure our Treasury technology ecosystem supports critical financial operations worldwide.
Role Responsibilities
Define and lead the technical roadmap, architecture, and standards for Treasury technology platforms.
Architect integration patterns across Treasury systems, ERP, payments, and SWIFT connectivity.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to globally distributed engineering teams.
Ensure systems design supports high-performance funds out functionality, FX processes, and liquidity management.
Oversee API design, messaging services, and database strategy for resilient and scalable systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders in Treasury, Risk, and Finance to ensure technical solutions meet functional and compliance requirements.
Apply strong engineering discipline across design reviews, code reviews, performance optimization, and infrastructure design.
Drive continuous improvement in systems architecture with a focus on cloud adoption, automation, and scalability.
Provide technical guidance on troubleshooting, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
Report on architecture progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to technology leadership.
Role Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of professional experience in software engineering or architecture, with at least 4+ years in an architectural leadership role.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, databases (RDBMS; NoSQL a plus), and messaging services.
Proficiency with Linux infrastructure and commands; cloud knowledge (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP) a plus.
Experience with Java / JEE / microservices architectures; familiarity with APIs, web services, and integration frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement large-scale, high-performance, mission-critical systems.
Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills, with experience working across globally distributed teams.
Proven ability to balance technical trade-offs with business needs, delivering measurable outcomes.
Experience with Agile methodology, CI/CD practices, and automated testing.
Preferred Treasury Domain Knowledge. Hands-on exposure to funds out functionality (most critical). Understanding of hedging, FX, payments, liquidity, or cash management processes.
Familiarity with SWIFT standards and systems.
Nice to Have
Experience building microservices-based architectures at scale.
Hands-on experience with RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
Knowledge of data formats and integration (HTTP, XML, JSON).
Experience building high-performance, real-time systems capable of handling billions of transactions.
Familiarity with AI/automation trends in financial systems.

Salary
The monthly gross base salary range is 5,140 – 8,567 EUR. This range represents anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible for an annual variable target incentive (which may include long-term incentives, if eligible) that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidate’s qualifications,. skills and competencies.
