The Actuarial Assistant will be a strong contributor within a high performing group. This position will gain exposure to key actuarial disciplines in various functional areas at RGA, including, but not limited to, pricing, valuation and reporting, modeling, data commercialization, experience studies, risk management and corporate actuarial. This position will analyze the financial costs of risk and uncertainty through mathematics, statistics and financial theory
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- Progress towards Actuarial designation with at least 1 actuarial exam completed
Requirements
- 1+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance/reinsurance
Responsibilities:
- Provide general valuation, pricing, financial analysis, ALM, research and development, risk management, experience studies, marketing and other project assistance as needed.
- Develops, maintains, and/or reviews actuarial models, assumptions, process and framework
- Identifies, implements, and enhances governance and control infrastructure
- Maintains and enhances documentation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- Experience in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience in AXIS and/or Prophet
- PC and technical skills, including database applications (Access, Oracle, SQL, or equivalent), spreadsheets, statistical programs, and actuarial software (AXIS, Prophet, or equivalent)
- Understanding of local reporting and regulatory environments
- Understanding of insurance financial metrics and analysis techniques

Compensation Range:
$65,050.00 - $92,400.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
