About This Opportunity 

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with expertise in allergy research to lead the development and implementation of the Living Systematic Review program as part of the National Allergy Centre of Excellence (NACE). This is a unique opportunity to shape national research in food allergy, contribute to evidence-based clinical guidelines, and support real-time policy and practice improvements through high-quality, collaborative research.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and maintain high-quality living systematic reviews in allergy, particularly food allergy, and produce impactful publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Work with national collaborators across NACE to design and deliver research projects, contribute to knowledge translation, and apply best-practice research methodologies.

  • Contribute to the supervision and mentorship of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, fostering academic growth and research capability.

  • Actively participate in internal committees, foster external partnerships, and demonstrate behaviours aligned with UQ values and a culture of research excellence.

About You

  • A PhD in epidemiology or a related discipline, with an emerging track record in allergy research in the Australian context.

  • Extensive experience in developing and conducting systematic reviews, ideally including living systematic review methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals and present findings at academic and professional conferences.

  • Advanced understanding of research processes, the Australian health system, and strong skills in critical appraisal and evidence synthesis.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and institutions.

  • Strong self-direction and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and contribute meaningfully to both internal and external initiatives.
