Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Development team responsible for delivering patient and HCP facing software solutions, therapy reporting platforms, and secure telemetry APIs used by our medical mobile devices.
This leader will manage a group of engineering managers and their Scrum teams, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of releases across multiple product lines. The role also owns DevOps for the group, ensuring reliability, compliance, and scalability of all cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Leadership & People Management
Lead and coach engineering managers overseeing Scrum teams across therapy reporting, web apps, business services, telemetry APIs, and data processing.
Define organizational goals, set priorities, and ensure alignment with overall product roadmap and company strategy.
Foster an inclusive culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Delivery & Execution
Own the on-time delivery of software releases that meet regulatory, security, and performance requirements.
Establish best practices for release planning, tracking, and risk management across multiple teams.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, metrics, and execution discipline.
Cloud Software Development
Oversee the design and development of secure, scalable cloud services and applications powering insulin pumps, glucose sensors, and connected apps.
Ensure telemetry APIs and business services are robust, performant, and compliant.
Guide architectural decisions for modularity, resilience, and reusability.
Research and implement AI powered development culture
DevOps & Infrastructure
Lead DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation across the group.
Ensure efficient, compliant use of AWS services (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, etc.), balancing performance and cost optimization.
Own observability, incident response, and operational excellence.
Collaboration & Compliance
Partner with product, regulatory, security, and device engineering teams to ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, and other global standards.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency on priorities, risks, and progress
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
Nice to Haves:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
7+ years in software engineering with at least 5+ years managerial experience
Proven success delivering large-scale cloud-based platforms in regulated environments (MedTech/HealthTech preferred).
Strong background in Java development and modern software practices.
Hands-on expertise with AWS services and DevOps practices.
Experience driving release management across multiple Scrum teams.
AI based development practices
