Job Purpose:

The Health & Wellbeing Engagement Lead will play a pivotal role in driving engagement with GSK’s Global Health and Wellbeing programmes designed to improve overall employee wellbeing – physical, mental, social and financial. You will optimise engagement and uptake of our health and wellbeing offerings by understanding and enhancing the employee experience leveraging digital tech and AI. This role will be responsible for building employee understanding and engagement with our health and wellbeing programmes, tracking programme effectiveness, evaluating outcomes and making recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance GSK’s reputation as a great place to work.  

Key responsibilities: 

  • Transform the employee experience of health and wellbeing programmes by adopting intuitive, user-centred service design. Prioritise understanding the employee experience, explore and implement digital-first solutions to improve engagement, utilisation, and maximise impact. 
  • Leverage expertise in employee engagement and behaviour change to design and deliver impactful health and wellbeing promotion and engagement initiatives. Using evidence-based approaches, such as behavioural science, to drive uptake of employee health and wellbeing programmes across diverse employee populations (regions, businesses, and countries).  
  • Understand the experience of the key employee personas within their geography and be able to diagnose areas for improvement in the employee experience, e.g. tackling awareness, access, functionality and leader engagement.   
  • Provide input to the Communications and Digital Channels lead to develop innovative communications, digital tools, and campaigns to drive behaviour change and sustain engagement. 
  • Act as a Health and Wellbeing Subject Matter Expert (SME), promoting preventative health strategies and delivering key messages as an integral element of our Ahead Together, great place to work narrative, via HR, using multiple channels to engage leaders and employees. Collaborate on health promotion plans aligned with GSK’s global strategy, tailoring them to local needs and priorities. 
  • Analyse and interpret behavioural data to generate actionable insights that inform employee health and wellbeing interventions. Use insights to provide feedback to H&W Programme Leads so that they can refine programmes, enhance engagement, and improve outcomes. Track program engagement, effectiveness, evaluate results within specified geography, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement. 
  • Work with HR Country Heads and HR Benefit Leads, and cross-functionally with Occupational Health, Workplace Experience (WREF), and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to foster healthy lifestyles across physical, mental, social, and financial wellbeing dimensions. 
  • Build effective relationships with senior business leaders and HR teams to raise awareness of wellbeing benefits, address challenges, and empower and support them to champion initiatives that enhance employee support.  
  • Collectively manage the Health & Wellbeing Champions network to increase programme reach and impact. Lead the rollout of the Mental Health Allies program, ensuring active participation at all sites aligned to specified geography. 
  • Be an active and engaged member of the Employee Health & Wellbeing (EH&W) team and broader Reward Centre of Excellence (CoE), contributing to team goals and initiatives. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • University Degree (Bachelor or Masters) in relevant discipline such as Health Promotion, Public Health, Behavioural or Social Science, Occupational Health, Communications, Human Resources or Life Sciences. 
  • Overall 15+ years of experience out of which 5+ years of experience in public health, health promotion, behaviour change, global health programme management or related disciplines, preferably within a global organization. 

Requirements: 

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and manage stakeholders, including senior leaders, across all levels of the organization. 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within diverse, cross-functional teams, demonstrating cultural awareness and an appreciation of regional differences. 
  • Highly effective verbal, written, and presentation skills, with experience delivering impactful communications across multiple formats and channels (e.g., video, online platforms). Skilled at keeping stakeholders informed and escalating issues appropriately. 
  • Strong data analytic skills to generate actionable insights and inform decision-making. Proficiency in leveraging digital technology, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to enhance employee experience and engagement. 
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with the ability to anticipate interdependencies and optimise solutions, identify root cause issues and describe improvements. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with strong accountability, organizational, and influencing skills. Experience working effectively in a matrixed environment. 
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with excellent attention to detail and a track record of delivering outcomes. 

Preferred Qualifications and skills: 

  • Masters, MBA, PhD. 
  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry in an above-country role or within an organisation of large-scale and complexity.  
  • Strong knowledge of employee health and wellbeing, broader benefits, and HR practices. 
  • A strong sense of initiative, urgency, pragmatism, and judgement – able to activate. 
  • Proven ability to deliver to demanding deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality.
