Safety & Quality Assurance Officer (Facilities Management)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides H&S (Health & Safety) advice and support to Facilities Management Department

• Develop and assess SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) in compliance with departmental safety and meet legislative standards

• Assists in the achievement of H&S goals and objectives and continuous improvement of H&S performance

• Assists in design and deliver H&S safety training, behavioral safety programs and ergonomics, etc. for Facilities Management team members

• Conduct incident and accident investigations with recommendation on mitigation measures to prevent recurrence

• Coordinates H&S inspections by third parties or authorities and provides on-site liaison with enforcing authorities as required

• Conduct and arrange regular site inspections, job safety analysis and control of occupational injury loss

• Monitors H&S performance by appropriate Key Performance Indicators (Man-hours worked without loss time injuries, first aid cases, incidents rate, etc.) and training efficiency

• Ensure legal and corporate H&S standards in compliance with regular updating of the requirements

• Provides monthly reports on workplace incidents and relative transaction status

• Actively participates in facilities committees related to health & safety improvement

Job Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience in H&S, quality assurance, loss prevention and emergency management in service industries

• Degree in engineering, health and safety, insurance underwriting, or equivalent

• Knowledge of building infrastructure and Facilities Management operations

• Familiarity with construction and facilities sectors is a plus

• Understanding of local H&S, fire safety, and compensation laws.

• Experience in emergency response and injury handling, particularly in employee injuries

• Handle safety issues in a prioritized, proactive and preventive manner

• Certified first aider and AED preferred

• Strong presentation, reporting, and accident investigation skills

• Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English

• Various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, may be required depending on business needs and operational requirements
