Job Responsibilities:
Acts as the key contact point on work safety within Facilities Management Department, specifically for fire, chemistry, work at height, confined space protocols and emergency response coordination etc
Provides expert guidance on occupational safety measures for Facilities Management team members and contractors, ensuring safe practices in all facility-related operations and environments
Manages the reporting and documentation of FM-related incidents, property damage, and employee injuries. Ensure timely submission of reports to corporate insurance providers and relevant government authorities
Develop and facilitate H&S (health & safety) training programs tailored to FM operations, including emergency drills and hazard awareness sessions
Prepares and submits FM incident, claim, and performance summaries to senior Facilities Management as required
Represents Facilities Management in management meetings, contributing FM-specific insights and recommendations
Designs and implements investigation protocols for disruptions, accidents, and safety breaches within FM-managed areas, review and create SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) subject to approval by the Vice President of Facilities Management
Provides safety consultancy during the selection and installation of high-risk equipment used in FM operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards
Oversees FM-related claims to control expenses and facilitate timely resolution, minimizing exposure and liability for the organization
Job Requirements:
5–10 years or above experience in health and safety, quality assurance, loss prevention, and emergency management within service industries
Degree in engineering, health and safety, insurance underwriting, or equivalent
Knowledge / experience in operations of facilities management and construction sectors
Capability in conducting risk assessments
Capability in carrying out injury, property damage and critical incidents investigation
Detailed knowledge in building infrastructure setup
Expertise in local occupational health safety, fire safety, engineering standards, and employee compensation legislation
Overall management skills in third party liability insurance claims, including injury, property damage and vehicle accidents
Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential issues and situations
Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English
Various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, may be required depending on business needs and operational requirements
