JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JOB SUMMARY -- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
- Oversees TMDE calibration quality processes and production to ensure compliance with T.O. 00-20-14 and other directives. Conducts continuous monitoring of environmental conditions. Responsible for performing all Quality Reviews and Process Reviews as selected by the TMDE Management System and directed by the Calibration Technical Manager and Calibration Lab Manager.
- Performs Quality Reviews, Process Reviews, Evaluator Proficiency Evaluations, and certifying technician observations; analyzes findings and documents results.
- Identifies trends, conducts in-depth failure analyses, facilitates root cause investigations, and recommends corrective and continual improvement actions.
- Prepares and maintains records for internal and external submission; documents QA module reviews, QR outcomes, and ensures proper use of Quality Program codes.
- Assists technicians in troubleshooting, aligning, repairing, calibrating, and certifying TMDE; provides technician guidance and supports training and qualification evaluations.
- Assists with managerial duties and may act as Calibration Lab Manager during absences; performs additional duties required to support organizational needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This job has limited supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Highly knowledgeable in all aspects of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (competence of testing and calibration laboratories) with advanced experience calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of TMDE, including electrical, mechanical, optical, and thermal systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting block, schematic, wiring, and logic diagrams; capable of training other technicians and ensuring comprehension of calibration processes and procedures.
- Demonstrates effective decision-making, root cause analysis, and problem resolution skills; able to prioritize tasks to meet contractual and mission-critical requirements.
- Possesses strong oral and technical writing abilities; works cooperatively across all levels of staff and management while delivering high-quality customer service and support.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, TMDE Automated Management System, and other advanced software tools; capable of learning new systems quickly and producing accurate reports and documentation.
- Highly organized and self-driven with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to evolving policies, procedures, and operational needs.
REQUIREMENTS -- EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent education required with a minimum of 12 years of verifiable USAF PMEL or calibration technical experience.
In addition, a Metrology Quality Assurance Manager must possess the following qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, calibrating, and certifying TMDE and metrology lab standards.
- Quality Assurance Background: At least 4 years of Quality Assurance experience, along with a documented history of exceptional quality performances as a calibration technician.
- Qualifications and Documentation: Must provide proof of equipment and area discipline qualifications, as well as readiness for progression through a strong quality record.
- Must meet background check criteria and be eligible to obtain a Top Security Clearance.
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $89,440.00 to $93,600.00 annually.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Usually in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting (up to 30 pounds), constant sitting, significant use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning and organizing skills, and be able to work under deadlines. Occasional work performance in a field environment involving remote locations, warehouse environments, flight line environments, machining and manufacturing environments, and outdoor assignments. Ability to travel using various means of government or contractor transportation.

Conversely, employees should not allow other JT4 employees or employees of another employer to use JT4 owned or assigned equipment without proof of training and approval of the shop manager.
