Earn up to $160,000 DOE

Hybrid-Remote Position: available for candidates residing in PA, DE, MD, NJ, and VA.

Up to 25% Travel to our Lafayette Hill, PA location required.

 

Position Details:

The Director of Procurement is responsible for overseeing the procurement function within Merakey. This role is strategic and focuses on sourcing and purchasing goods, services, and resources at the best value, while ensuring operational efficiency, quality, compliance, and supply chain continuity. The Director of Procurement leads the procurement team of 3 and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive cost savings, improve operational effectiveness, and enhance supplier relationships.

 

Job Specific Functions include:

 

Strategic Procurement Leadership:

  • Procurement Strategy Development
  • Market Analysis and Sourcing
  • Category Management

Supplier Relationships and Contract Management:

  • Supplier Identification and Vetting
  • Negotiation and Contract Management
  • Supplier Performance Evaluation
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process

 Team Leadership and Development:

  • Team Management, development, and alignment with departmental objectives 
  • Collaboration, communication, and coaching on strategy 

Financial Management and Control:

  • Cost Optimization
  • Financial Reporting and Forecasting

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Risk Identification and Mitigation
  • Contract Compliance and Ethics

Procurement Process Improvement:

  • Process evaluation and optimization
  • Technology integration management
  • Management of change initiatives

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Demand Forecasting

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or similar) is preferred but not required.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Procurement or supply chain management experience in a human services or related field strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization across multiple categories.
