Role Summary/Purpose:

The SVP, Technology Leader – Health & Wellness is responsible for driving and executing the technology roadmaps, strategies, and initiatives in partnership with partners and client leadership team for the Health & Wellness Platform. As part of this role, this leader has a dotted line relationship to Platform CEO and SLT and aims to align to the goals of both our partners, Health & Wellness, as well as SYF’s enterprise product organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Technology leader for partner relationships across Health & Wellness which includes oversight of the technology and integration for ~270,000 merchants/locations to drive best in class customer solutions to meet client growth, productivity, and compliance objectives.

  • Manage team and provide technology leadership, client relationship, program management, vendor management, prioritization, and functional expertise for our partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Manage team and provide technology leadership for Provider Center, IHS, EHR, CSS, acquisitions (Allegro), direct and 3rd party Point of Sale (POS) integrations and data needs primarily for H&W platforms and clients

  • Key member of the Health & Wellness leadership team responsible for managing Stakeholder relationship with GM’s/RM’s and cross functional teams (Credit, Finance Marketing, etc.)

  • Acts as a connector between functions and cross business platforms and work with peers of other Synchrony business platforms to best practice share and coordinate consistency and business outcomes and drive standardization within Health & Wellness and across other platforms

  • Provide technology leadership across the business platforms to influence & shape SYF product roadmaps (e.g., UniFi, dBuy, PayLater, and MSF client/merchant integrations)

  • Accountable for the delivery of projects, products and capabilities to partners

  • Manage daily operations/SLA’s and communication to partners and internal stakeholders

  • Deliver innovative ideas and technologies to partners and feedback loop to product teams i.e. Innovation Summits, etc.

  • Team management of client facing technology leaders dedicated to partners, merchants, and verticals

  • Partner with GM’s and Business Development sales leaders on renewals and new deals within H&W

  • Participation in cross functional teams on various pre-deal activity for prospecting partners for H&W such as RFP, Management Presentations, Discovery sessions, and technology integration guides

  • Accountable for technology contractual and SLA reviews prior to signing renewals and new deals within H&W to stay consistent with the company’s standards

  • Oversight and leadership for client support center of excellence team utilized across the business platforms for various support activities (i.e. client holiday monitoring, SLA reporting and tracking, level 2 client production support)

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or related major and 10+ years of Technology experience OR, in lieu of degree, a high school diploma and 14 years of Technology work experience.

  • Minimum 8+ years of Technology leadership experience driving a rigorous program across large financial services or technology businesses.

  • 5+ years of direct relationship management/experience with an external client or partner program

  • Ability to drive multiple concurrent priorities to completion without significant guidance.

Grade/Level: 16

The salary range for this position is 235,000.00 - 390,000.00 USD Annual.  This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 30% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 30% of salary.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
