Warehouse Student Workers assist with incoming and outgoing shipment to and from the 12th Street Warehouse. They are responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving shipments, organizing, pulling inventory, and cleaning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with a high level of integrity.
  • Maintain quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing product shipments.
  • Unloading delivery trucks.
  • Check the items in inventory for damages or discrepancies.
  • Organizing and storing shipments until they receive outgoing order requests.
  • Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods.
  • Ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of the following software.
    • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.

  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

Problem Solving

  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.

Physical and Sensory Abilities

  • Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
  • Required to occasionally lift up to 75lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Environment

The work environment for this position is primarily indoors; however, temperatures may vary depending on the season. The warehouse climate and conditions occasionally reflect the outside environment, subjecting employees to extreme heat or cold. The space is well-lit with a moderate noise level.
