About the job

In this position, you lead Seco Product Sharing initiatives in Machining. You will conduct market research and feasibility studies to analyze the viability of alternative product sharing opportunities between divisions to increase revenue and cost effectiveness for Machining as a whole, coordinate activities within Machining Board, Seco functions and connected divisions functions.

Working actively with the team at Standard Products Offer and Innovation at Seco, you support cross functional activities from a Seco perspective and act as senior advisor to VP Offer and Innovation, Director Standardized products and to Machining Board.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collect, compile, verify, and analyze product portfolios suitable for sharing to and from Seco within Machining.
  • Collaborate with counterparts in the sister divisions to continuously work on new candidates for sharing, both within product management and operations.
  • Align product sharing objectives with product strategies and road maps securing customer value and internal efficiency.
  • Develop the process of way of working for selecting and implementing sharing solutions.
  • Drive the process, with actual sharing activities as outcome.
  • Delivering fully documented sharing objectives/candidates including sales development over the NSR period.


You report to the Director of Standard Products Offer and Innovation at Seco. The location for this position is flexible within Europe, and regular travel is part of the job.

Your profile

We’re looking for a senior leader with extensive experience in strategic and tactical planning, with deep knowledge within metal cutting industry and preferable the Seco portfolio. You have a strong business acumen and a proven track record of leading leaders. Skills in stakeholder, project and portfolio management are needed. A good network in Machining is an advantage. Your background includes a university degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Acting in a global environment calls for fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
