Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative plays a key role in ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate recordkeeping. Responsibilities include:
Greeting and directing patients and visitors professionally.
Scheduling appointments and collecting necessary medical information.
Explaining departmental and hospital policies, including charges.
Validating and entering charges into appropriate systems.
Collecting payments and verifying insurance details.
Answering incoming calls and routing them appropriately.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred:
Experience in a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-10, CPT).
Ability to interpret insurance information.
Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology.
