What you will be doing:

  • Work closely with the Comply team in Operations to fully understand and document the current end-to-end process for using Comply to process VAT returns.
  • Partner with the team to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the existing workflow.
    Collaborate with Operations to design, test, and implement process enhancements that improve speed, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Identify manual tasks and develop technology-led solutions to automate them—e.g. replacing manual data manipulation with automated workflows through tools such as Alteryx.
  • Re-engineer the communication flow between the preparer and the client to reduce direct interaction, minimise disruptions, and improve turnaround times.
  • Establish methods to measure and monitor process performance so that improvements can be tracked and validated over time.
  • Utilise deep knowledge of the Comply product to optimise its use within Operations.
    Create and manage Jira tickets to request product enhancements and work closely with Product and Technology teams to ensure delivery.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across Operations, ensuring new processes are embedded and sustainable.
  • Operate across both Compliance and Recovery, ensuring process improvements benefit both areas of the business.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with the Fintua platform.
  • The role will involve a lot of involvement with Product Development in terms of getting system efficiencies delivered so product development experience ideally in our industry would be a must-have requirement.
  • Proven track record in product development, process improvement, business process reengineering, or operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of VAT compliance workflows and operational dependencies.
    Good understanding of the Recovery business and how it integrates with Compliance operations would be a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of automation tools such as Alteryx to streamline data transformation and reporting.
    Ability to translate operational pain points into clear product requirements and Jira tickets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across Operations, Product, and Technology teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose root causes and develop practical solutions.
    Exceptional communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
