About the Job:
The Lead Warehouse Associate leads, coaches, mentors, and trains Warehouse Staff on execution of successful operations. Creates and maintains a smooth and productive flow to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
In This Role, You Will:
• Works with the warehouse staff to ensure forklift inspections are completed as required.
• Daily interactions with the General Manager for report out of orders done
• Works with the General Manager to ensure all Warehouse Staff are up to date on training
• Ensures all Warehouse Staff are trained on Unloading, Loading, Picking and Receiving Customer Product
• Completes Scanner Training with Warehouse Staff
• Ensures the Completion of consolidation and reporting of space availability
• Communicates with the Warehouse and reports all Forklift Maintenance or repairs needed to General Manager
• Assists Manager with special projects.
• Works with General Manager on staff schedules, ensuring all time off is approved or denied and all edits are completed in Dayforce for each pay period.
• Conducts weekly inspections of food grade customer aisles to ensure they are always audit ready.
• Assists with Inventory issues that arise when picking and consolidating
• Receives instructions/schedules from Operations Manager
• Assists when needed to pick up loads in tote boxes or on pallets, using care to position loads on forks to ensure safe transportation.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Inspects and reports any damage to Forklifts.
• Informs General Manager about the need for High Reach/Sit Down Forklift maintenance or repairs.
• Operates and manages technical equipment if applicable.
• Works with Warehouse Staff to ensure the Randolph Warehouse Load board is up to date with current information.
• Works with other departments within the facility to ensure smooth operations of scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Identifies workplace hazards.
• Locate and scan material to locations as needed.
• All other duties and projects as assigned.

Desired:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• No related work experience required
• Must receive forklift certification within 90 days of hire
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge is preferred
• Food Safety and Defense / HAACP knowledge is preferred
• Knowledge and ability to work with bar code scanner is preferred
Location:
This is an in-office role based in Vandalia, IL.
As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.
The base pay range for this position is: $20-$25 per hour.
