ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains material safety data book.
- ISO 14001 system audit management.
- Performs periodic safety inspections
- Investigate all injuries / accidents / near misses. Work with line management to identify root cause and corrective action. Ensures communication of any and all incidents/accidents to proper chain of command.
- Incident reporting through safety alerts.
- Monitors the company's health standards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Facilitates training for workers on issues related to health, safety and environmental.
- Implements or recommends control measures for exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.
- Develops and Knowledge and practice of Hutchinson’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.
- Acts as Forklift Truck (FLT) Officer. Knows FLT regulations and oversees the implementation of these regulations (among other, monitors controls of equipment and drivers). Knows professional guidelines on the safe operation of FLT.
- Other duties as assigned.

Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Human Resources and Plant Managers, and other plant and office personnel. Attention to detail and accuracy. Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of control measures for exposure to hazardous materials or conditions. Must understand different policies and procedures set into place as well as how to operate industrial vehicles in a manufacturing environment.
