Job Roles & Responsibilities      

Sr. Specialist, Mechanical III, is responsible for performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas turbine generators and other critical mechanical components in the industry. This role ensures the reliable operation of equipment through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and the implementation of best practices. The specialist collaborates with engineering and operations teams to minimize downtime, optimize performance, and uphold safety and compliance standards across all mechanical systems.

      Daily Job Routine (08:00-04:00)      
  • Developing and maintaining risk management frameworks that accurately identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational hazards.
  • Conducting regular workplace inspections to proactively identify risks, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of safety-awareness.
  • Leading task observations to verify that work practices align with established safety and operational guidelines.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise, taking corrective action as needed. 
  • Assist Department Managers in planning and organizing resources needed to deliver the department’s objectives.
  • Creating and updating Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) that ensure employees adhere to best practices during all tasks.
  • Validating the effectiveness of safety and maintenance protocols.
  • Identifying deviations from standard procedures and addressing root causes.
  • Gathering data for performance analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Providing immediate feedback and coaching to staff, reinforcing positive behaviors and correcting unsafe practices.
  • Meeting production target as per BP.
  • Documenting and disseminating best practices, lessons learned, and innovative solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining a centralized repository of technical resources accessible to all employees.
  • Facilitating site visits and cross-functional projects to promote cohesion and consistency in maintenance practices.
  • Monitor the spare parts and order replacements when necessary.
  • Good ability for trouble shooting & problem solving.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Coordinate with procurement with respect to maintenance orders.
  • Manages operational changes, providing final approval of management of change, ensuring that they are effectively implemented.
  • Executing the maintenance schedules to maintain the Utilities equipment with-in given engineering standards.
  • Adhere to all technical problems within the area of responsibility and make sure proper actions are identified and taken and support other areas supervisors if needed.
  • Ensure that spending is in line with the department budget and direct manager directions.
  • To implement, reinforce, guide and follow up with the equipment condition monitoring tactics and resulted action plans execution.
  • Leading RCA, JSA, RA to establish PM schedules/procedures.
     

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

     

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor Of Mechanical Engineering in related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial field.

  • Expertise in risk management, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
