  • Base Salary starting at $89,755 + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

Professor Cameron Turtle is the CLEARbridge Chair in Cancer Immunotherapy. Professor Turtle leads clinical and laboratory research teams developing and conducting clinical trials of genetically modified cellular (CAR-T cell) immunotherapies for patients with haematologic malignancies. We are seeking a Research Assistant to join Professor Turtle.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • carry out relevant lab-based research

  • ensure meticulous record keeping and data management

  • assist with various research support requirements

  • collaborate with other team members and research teams

  • assist in preparation of data for publication.

About you

The following skills are advantageous:

  • understanding of human T-cell immunology
  • ficoll separation and cryopreservation of human PBMCs
  • T cell culture, phenotypic and functional assays 
  • multi-parameter flow cytometry 
  • lentiviral transduction 

  • excellent interpersonal skills across a range of stakeholders

  • strong research methodology skills in immunotherapy or cancer

  • ability to work independently, as well as in a team.
