We’re looking for a welcoming, detail-oriented administrative assistant to help ensure a smooth experience for our multi-specialty Ophthalmology clinics in Westwood. In this role you will be floating to our ophthalmic clinics based on clinical needs. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy learning, and love helping people this is the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phones, respond to patient messages, and assist with patient inquiries
- Schedule appointments
- Collect copays and patient payments at check-in and check-out
- Manage insurance verifications and authorizations
- Provide support with basic clerical tasks
Salary Range: $26.42-37.49 Hourly
Job Qualifications

Required:
- Minimum two years’ experience working in a medical office.
- Experience scheduling patient appointments in computerized appointment scheduling system.
- Knowledge of current governmental programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills which promote pleasant and effective communication with patients, staff and doctors.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records in a clear and orderly manner at the direction of the Office Manager.
- Working knowledge of basic medical terminology and diseases, as it applies to the eye.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a systematic manner to maximize efficiency.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability given the dynamic nature of medicine and departmental needs.
Preferred:
- Two years’ experience in ophthalmology practice setting.
