Osprey Construction Co. Ltd. is a privately owned construction and project‑management firm headquartered in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas.

The Procurement Supervisor will oversee remotely the procurement and distribution of the Company’s equipment, supplies, and services.

Main Responsibilities:
Manages and supports a remote team of purchasing assistants or junior buyers.
Provides virtual training, guidance, and performance evaluations for procurement team members.
Supervises day-to-day procurement activities remotely, ensuring all orders are processed accurately and on time.
Manages supplier relationships, contracts, and performance through virtual communication and collaboration tools.
Sources new vendors and maintain a reliable database of suppliers with pricing, lead times, and delivery capabilities.
Coordinates with on-site project managers, warehouse teams, and accounting personnel to verify order specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Ensures that all materials meet safety and quality standards.
Reports any issues with quality control or shipping procedures to management.
Create comparative sheets of the different requests from the Project Managers and share the data to evaluate prices and conditions
Approve purchase orders and review procurement requests for accuracy and budget compliance.
Track shipments and proactively resolve any delivery or customs-related issues in coordination with logistics partners.
Maintain digital records of purchases, pricing history, and supplier evaluations.
Analyze procurement data to identify savings opportunities and ensure adherence to procurement best practices.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and local import/export regulations where applicable.
Prepare and submit procurement reports, budget forecasts, and savings summaries to management.
Prepare the Accounts Payable list and share it with the management.


Requirements

We focus our search on professionals with a degree in Procurement, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
We are oriented to people with previous work experience of at least 3 years in procurement or supply chain, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
Proficiency in English language is required.
It is highly valued to have experience managing remote or distributed teams.
Having a background in construction, manufacturing, or multi-site operations is a plus.

Skills:
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills across email, video, and collaborative platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Teams, Zoom).
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in procurement systems and remote work tools (e.g., ERP systems, Google Workspace).
Thorough understanding of international and local procurement practices, vendor management, and logistics coordination.
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Analytical mindset with attention to cost control and risk mitigation.
High degree of integrity, accountability, and self-discipline.
