About the job you’re considering

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator with over 5 years of hands-on experience in Tableau Administration, Desktop, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data governance, and security best practices. This role involves managing Tableau environments, supporting a large user base, and ensuring optimal performance and availability of Tableau services

Your role

  • Administer Tableau Server and Tableau Online environments.
  • Create and manage user groups, organize workbooks, dashboards, and data sources within sites and projects.
  • Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning of Tableau environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau dashboards, data sources, and server performance.
  • Collaborate with BI developers and data engineers to ensure seamless data integration and visualization.
  • Monitor usage and performance metrics to optimize Tableau resources.
  • Implement and enforce data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
  • Support and manage Tableau in Application Maintenance (AM) and Support projects with a large user base.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Your skills and experience

    • 5+ years of proven experience with Tableau (Admin and Desktop).
    • Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
    • Experience managing Tableau environments with a large number of users.
    • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and privacy standards.
    • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional, Tableau Server Certified Associate).
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Tableau Cloud.
    • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
