About the role

We are looking for a Senior SDET to help advance our agile teams to the next level as we continue to scale our platform internationally. You will design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing solutions to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. Building on our existing Cypress-based regression suite, you will enhance coverage, optimise execution in CI/CD pipelines, and introduce new tools and frameworks as our systems grow in complexity.
You will work hands-on creating automated tests for complex scenarios while mentoring team members on automation best practices. This is a high-impact role in a small, talented team where you will help shape the future of quality engineering for millions of global users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts at every layer of the application stack (unit, component, API, integration, and end-to-end), ensuring tests are reliable and scalable.

  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable deployments.

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and healthy automated test coverage across the SDLC.

  • Contribute to manual and exploratory testing where needed to uncover edge cases.

  • Collaborate on observability, monitoring, and AWS usage to support testing and validation at scale.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and introduce new testing tools, frameworks, and processes to improve quality and efficiency.

  • Act as a quality champion, mentoring teams in best practices and driving continuous process improvements.

Required skills and experience

  • 4–5+ years of hands-on SDET or Quality Engineering experience building automation frameworks at scale for large web applications.

  • Strong experience with Cypress and TypeScript/JavaScript, including:
    • End-to-end (E2E) testing for critical user journeys and regression.

    • Component testing for frontend reliability and maintainability.

  • Experience designing, writing, and maintaining automated API tests (integration and E2E layers) and contract tests.

  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and test setup.

  • Familiarity with Python for test scripting (integration and unit testing), reviewing PRs and implementing small fixes/features.

  • Working knowledge of AWS and observability/monitoring tools (DataDog, Bugsnag).

  • Exposure to performance, security, and accessibility testing.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in testing complex logic and edge cases.

  • Ability to write clear, maintainable test code and documentation.

  • Strong communication skills and experience mentoring others.

Desirable skills/experience

  • Experience testing in multi-language and multi-region environments.

  • Background in payments and subscription systems, with knowledge of testing billing, renewals, and edge cases.

  • Hands-on exposure to mobile test automation (e.g., Appium).

  • Broader backend language exposure (PHP or deeper Python expertise).

Perks and Benefits

  • Fully remote working
  • Personal annual L&D Budgets with 600€ to spend on your development
  • Being at the forefront of an industry with new and exciting problems to solve

Interview Process

  • Screening Call with Talent Partner (30 mins)
  • 1st Stage - Hiring Manager Stage (30 mins)
  • 2nd Stage - Technical Task (60 mins)
  • 3rd Stage - Values interview (30/45 mins)
