Manager, GT-TSS, Storage Admin (Storage Administrator)

Job Purpose * To collaborate and support Head of Backup & Storage Services in the day to day running of a SAN storage and data protection services to ensure services are available and online within defined SLA / OLA. This will include delivery of the right storage and backup technology to drive growth and efficiency across all IT platform and architecture, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and governance framework across all system and technologies. Key Responsibilities  *

• Evaluate, install, configure and tune SAN Storage deployment by ensuring service delivery as per scope, meet target live date, SLA and data being protected on system live date
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of rotating team coverage to address and fix system anomalies escalated by operations and users.
• Provide technical expertise for enhancement projects and project implementation on storage infrastructure
• Develop and improve storage domain checklists, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that conform to policies and procedures for daily operation and support tasks for standardization and excellent service delivery
• Manage internal storage and projects/initiatives which is medium to large scale to achieve operational efficiency and cost effectiveness aligned with IT transformation initiatives
• Investigate, troubleshoot and escalate storage related incidents/problems, system degradation, system outages and review impact of supported systems and provide resolution to meet defined SLA.
• Identify, plan and perform storage migration to address IT Obsolescence Policy
• Assists with compliance audits as required in achieving above satisfactory rating
• Develop, maintain and review documents for storage and data protection domain to ensure quality and precise documentation relating to SAN topology, architecture and inventory
• Perform and review periodic capacity planning and trending for storage domain.            

Job Specification *

 

Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc)

• University degree Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements 

• Certification in ITIL V3 is an added advantage

Relevant Work Experience 

• At least 5 year experiences in storage administration and SAN switches
