Make your mark while you grow your career! Reporting to the Procurement Lead, the Buyer is accountable for sourcing materials, equipment, and services critical to our operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement, while maintaining high standards for quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, purchasing, and contract management, with specific experience in the oil and gas industry.
Please Note: This is a 12-month temporary full-time position with the possibility of conversion into permanent.

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for oil and gas operations, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with company policies
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier relationships to secure the best terms and pricing
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials to support continuous operations
- Coordinate with various departments, including operations, engineering, and project management, to understand procurement needs and timelines
- Review and manage purchase orders, ensuring all contractual terms and conditions are met
- Track delivery schedules, resolve any supply chain disruptions, and communicate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and transactions in compliance with internal and regulatory standards
- Participate in cost reduction initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPIM) is considered an asset)
- 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the energy industry
- Strong understanding of the oil and gas supply chain, including materials sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations
- Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external suppliers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
