Working in a challenging, high volume, fast-paced environment, the student will work closely with the either the Campus Advisors and student employees or HR Business Advisors (HRBA’s), HR Analysts and Business Units to provide support. This Oil Sands Site is a world class operation offering countless opportunities to advance your career in an atmosphere where teamwork, innovation and your expertise are valued.
- Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta - Albian Oil Sands Site
- Shift schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off, 10 hours/day (Monday – Thursday)
- Term length: 8 months
- Term start: September 2025
- Number of positions: 2

Key Accountabilities:
- Create and process complete and accurate Assignment Change Form (ACF) packages including resignations, transfers, progressions, leaves of absences, general employee changes, etc.
- Successfully collaborate with other HR teams
- Plan, retrieve, and organize documents and information for the successful submission and communication of onboarding and offboarding requirements
- Complete people and position data audits
- Maintain and further develop partnerships with business units, university clubs and academic institutions, particularly in the Power Engineering and Apprentice space
- Update and audit shared data sheets regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Create and complete routine HR forms and letters
- Assist in roll out of HR Company initiatives and creating ad-hoc reporting as required
What You Bring to The Role:
- Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a degree or diploma in Human Resources
- Respect for confidentiality and discretion
- Outstanding organizational skills; attention to detail, accuracy and proficient proofreading skills
- Energetic, positive attitude and optimistic outlook
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
