Job Summary
We are seeking a Director of Strategy to join our growing health and wellness advertising agency. This individual will lead strategic planning across multiple client accounts, guiding the development of integrated marketing and communications strategies. The Director will act as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams, providing insight-driven recommendations that shape brand positioning, communications planning, and long-term growth opportunities. This role also includes mentoring and developing junior strategists, contributing to new business efforts, and continuously evolving the agency’s strategic capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of strategic marketing and communications plans, including brand imperatives, channel strategies, and message flow.
- Provide strategic oversight across multiple accounts, ensuring high-quality and consistent delivery.
- Partner with clients in a consultative role, anticipating needs and guiding long-term strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align strategy with creative and execution.
- Contribute to agency growth by identifying new opportunities within existing client business and participating in new business pitches.
- Mentor, coach, and support junior strategy team members.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, consulting or related fields, with a focus on strategy and communications.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or wellness marketing required.
- Demonstrated success in leading strategic planning across multiple projects, brands, or accounts.
- Strong analytical, creative, and communication skills, with the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Proven ability to influence, inspire, and lead both clients and internal teams.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing talent a plus.
